My first official act as a brave woman is putting something out there something I haven't shared in such a public forum before. Are you ready for it?
I have Aspergers Sydrome
There, I have said it. I honestly don't know why I have held back from this, it is part of what makes me who I am and kinda awesome cos my habits and quirks make me super organised and prepared for just about anything. It explains a lot of the not so fun stuff about me and makes life a bit easier for those around me who know...
Being brave isn't just about revealing a piece of information (which if people know enough about AS and ASD they would have picked it long before my diagnosis). It is also about stepping out of your comfort zone and doing something you wouldn't normally do, for me that's sing at karaoke. Not something I am used to doing, to be perfectly honest I can't carry a tune to save my life. But I did it and I will do it again!
This year I will be braver, I will step out of my comfort zone and I will document each and every single act as I do it.
